I began my career in the design rooms of Paul Smith in Nottingham and went on to study fashion design at degree level. Moving to London, I worked at the London College of Fashion and it was there I discovered personal styling. I trained with leading image consultancy Aston & Hayes, along with Frances Boddington (the former President of The Federation of Image Consultants). Now living in the Vale of Glamorgan, just outside of Cardiff, having had two beautiful children, I am working as a Personal Stylist for men and women, my dream job!
My motto is to help ‘real people with real lives’. As a busy Mum & wife I know what it is like to juggle many balls. Trying to look and feel good along the way can be challenging and is often the first thing to go on the back burner. My desire is to help people understand how to dress their individual body shapes, in accordance with their lifestyle and more importantly budget! I am a high street lover and believe that less is more. You don’t need a wardrobe full of clothes, just ones that work for you and that can be mixed and matched. I aim to show you how to choose your best colours, styles and accessories, to give you an overall great look and self esteem boost. Knowing how to dress well saves you time and money, as you put an end to mistake buys and have a wardrobe that makes getting dressed each day easy!
Many thanks to Claire for a fabulous wardrobe weed last Thursday… I got rid of 2 whole bin bags of clothes and finally have an organised, coordinated and what feels like a totally new wardrobe! I’m working on those accessories too Claire!! Thanks again. Xx Kath
Been meaning to post this for a while. Had a wardrobe weed/personal styling and colours done with Claire about a month ago now. Besides a weeded and coordinated wardrobe, Claire has now equipped me with knowledge to ensure I choose the right style clothes for my shape in the right colours from here on. Shopping for clothes is now much easier (and enjoyable) and my husband has complimented me several times on my new look. I’ve also made some small changes to the colour make-up I wear, on Claire’s advice, which has also made a big difference to me. I’m so glad I had the session. Thank you Claire! – C. Ganderton

So following on from my wardrobe weed with Claire, I could finally justify buying some new clothes, so Claire and I hit the shops in Cardiff last week. Great morning trying on lots of clothes, and selecting those that suited me best and complemented what I’ve already got. Thanks Claire – makes a change from my usual habit of just buying something because it’s in the sale (though we did find 2 lovely dresses in the sale, so that was a bonus). – C. Davies
